Back in America Returns: Exploring American Culture and Identity
If you're tired of arguing with strangers on the internet, try talking with one of them in real life.
Welcome to Back in America, the podcast.
Stan Bertolow here, your host of the Back in America podcast. After a long break of two years, I'm excited to announce that we are back. Yes, Back in America is returning with fresh, insightful episodes that you don't want to miss. BIA is a podcast where we explore the culture, the values and the identity of America through the eyes of an expatriate, me. You may wonder what I've been up to during those last two years. Here is a short summary. Well, I've been busy working with some amazing companies like New Tigers, a life science, edge AI startup here in Princeton, Pontosense, an AI startup in Toronto and Nitro Marketing, a global marketing firm in Philly and that's where I am working currently. So, of course, I'm still very active also with
Share My Meals, a nonprofit organization fighting food waste and its impact on the environment. It's been an incredible journey. I don't know if you noticed, but the world has changed quite a bit since COVID-19. At least I know that I have. The MeToo movement that started before COVID-19 and the Black Lives Matter have profoundly impacted me. I see climate change, but I don't see much being done. I see the rise of populism in my home country, France, and here in the US. And I wonder if history will ever teach us anything. A few weeks ago, I was picked up by a driverless car. I use AI in my job every day and I learn of new AI solutions all the time. AI is the most radical revolution humanity has ever known. I've met
amazing, passionate people, young and old, who stand up for what they believe in, even when that means facing backlash. So yes, Back in America is back with new interviews, amazing guests, and fascinating stories. I will release one episode a month. Yes, I know that you were used to one episode a week, but I'm now too busy for that. And as you wait for me to post new interviews, I encourage you to listen to the previous stories. Diving on the shipwrecked slave ships, or John Lam, Boston ballet principal dancer, are probably among my favorite interviews. Go check them out. So here you are, BIA is back and I hope that you will share the news with your friends and tell them to subscribe. See you soon. One last thing. So if you have been following what I've
been up to for the last two years, you know that I've been passionate by AI and I am actually producing a daily short form podcast. It's four to five minutes every day. It's dedicated to AI technology and marketing. And if you're interested, you should check it out. It's called AI in marketing and it's available everywhere. See you soon. Bye.
